How do I get my parents to buy flat screen tvs?

Idk why but my parents wont buy any flat screen tvs. My mom keeps saying "it still works so why do we need to buy a new one?" or "then where we put all these tvs?" ...show more

I don't see the problem of being "low-tech." I am pretty sure no one will think of you as inferior if you only own CRT TV's. Flat Panel TV's aren't as cracked up to be, believe me. I would choose a good working CRT TV over a flat screen any day. My grandfather has a 1987 General Electric TV and still works fine, where as the newer TV's wouldn't last half as long as that. I would say get a job, and pay for them on your own. When I was 13 I had a job, and I knew a couple dozen people that had jobs around your age also.
