How do I change my yahoo messenger name that the people I chat to see?

I named myself with my nickname Squall in my yahoo messenger but very few people know that that's my nickname so some of my friends don't know it's me so I want to change ...show more
Answer:

Go to preferences and change your contact information. Yahoo! Messenger first looks at the "Nickname" field to see if a name is entered. If a nickname is entered, the nickname will be displayed in your Messenger List. If a nickname is not entered, Yahoo! Messenger then looks at the "First/Last Name" fields. If there are no entries in any of these fields, the regular Yahoo! ID will be displayed.
