Why can't I see my contacts personal messages?

Why cant i see my messages i send to my contacts and i cant see what they have sent?

I have had yahoo messenger for years and in the last 2 months i haven't been able to see the messengers i send to my contacts nor can i see what they type back to me in the chat ...show more

i have had the same problem.in my installing it hept saying i had yahoo messenger,yet after it installed it would say unable to install due to missing ylog.dll. i tried 3x to get that corrected.also i needed a "patch'.i downloaded Internet explorer and took it as default.seemed helpful.finally i have yahoo messenger back.but i have that problem of unable to see what i write or being written back.and unable to see chat room in these final days !!! good luck.keep trying. dream_image89
