Why is the football team Celtic pronounced 'seltic' but when talking about the Celts it's 'Keltic.?

In French , Celtic is pronounced "Seltic" as in many Europeans languages

Since "c" in Irish Gaelic is pronounced like a k, For example the name Ciaran Irish name is pronounce as a K you don't pronounce the c another example is Cian would be pronounce as a K. Caitriona Irish girl's name again you never pronouce the C always a K like Kattriona, But never spelt with a K. Maybe the person who named the team didn't know how to correctly pronounce it?

who will ever truly understand the english language? there are so many things like this no wonder kids are becoming more and more dyslexic? they just want to spell it as it sounds and not how some big brained jumped up idiot says it should be spelt? hell if i carry on i'm going to sound like me dad good luck with the answers lol

The fans of the Football team use their local dialect to pronounce it Selic (Retards in the main) They try to use the term Celts in the name to justify their History. (ie Famine and tattie munchers) The historic people of Scotland Ireland Wales were known as Celts and use the proper pronunciation

i asked my teacher the same question at college, she answered me "why the sky is blue?" so its just the way scotts pronounce it, thanks
