How much do rotors on a honda civic cost?

  • Ok. Heres the story: I have a 2005 2 door Honda Civic with 103,541 miles on it. My breaks squeak every once in a while, and I've been hearing a grinding noise lately, kind of like ...show more

I don't know where you live but I work for a large brake distributor in the SW US. If all you are looking for are new pads and rotors for a 05 civic (front only) the cost would be about 100 give or take 25%. Now, the labor which should be about 1.5 hours @75 per hour is another 125. So, to replace the front pads and rotors you are looking at about 250 tops. BE ADVISED, the brake shop may very well find other probs, rear shoes, calipers, bearings. etc. Bottom line.... find a brake shop that you trust and do what they recommend. I own a 07 Civic and the factory pads were done at 50K rear shoes ok at 60K , so I am GUESSING that your rear shoes or pads need work also. Get it done right

it would be cheaper to just buy new rotors than resurfacing it. or just buy brake pads and slap it on witht the same rotor as is. thats what i do atleast, no problem. i change rotor when i feel too many grooves (which i only changed once. 20k miles - 130kmile and going) i do change pads when it's near low, and i use honda generics parts. for price i would go online and compare prices, honda, kragen, local auto store
