How much emphasis do they put on High School grades?

Writing a CV, what grades from school should i put on? looked at a template CV and they said to write the?

  • whats relevant to the job post! applying for retail, admin and a few others, so what grades from school should i put down? i have 4 previous jobs and grades/subject from college also ...show more

  • Answer:

it depends how far you took your education...not sure where you're from but if you've got a-levels, you list those and then just write a sentence saying i have 6 gcse's etc... if u've only got gcse's at the moment, list them all and write the grades... but concentrate more on your previous experience since u've had 4 jobs...good luck!

Put in all of your grades in unless there is a grade that is bad and irelevent to the job ( like a Geography grade U for a security guard). if you have a reallly bad grade but its relevent include it. remember to include work experiance and references as well as intrests and other qualifications (such as a first aid award or music grade)

write your best subject/relevant to application grades in detail. Then put eg: 2 c 3 d etc. Then at the last page of the cv fill in the grades in detail. the reason why is that a prospective employer will only look at the first few paragraphs to rule out unsuitable people. you must remember that they can see many cvs so make yours stand out.
