we do NOT have an innate ability to measure time living things have rhythms, like breathing and heart beat be can measure length by putting and object ----------- next to a standard length - and comparing. we cannot do that with time. the best we can do is count the cycles of something we think is regular in repetition as we gradually had a need to know the seasons for farming, and the rough time to meet somebody in early cities, we developed better and better finer ways to estimate time religions needed time counts for their ceremonial days. Muslims for example, have to pray 5 times a day but when? from counting light and dark as day night to counting the vibration of atoms WE do NOT know what time really is, why it only goes forward I think we have time so everything does not happen at once
