Tiny black beetle.bugs on bed/couch what are they?

What you are describing here sounds exactly like bed bugs. I hate to break the news to you, but I think you have them. Now, you might be wondering why they are not biting you. They are probably biting you and you do not even know it. Some people do not react to bed bug bites at all. It is just like two people who walk outside and one person has mosquito bites on them and the other person doesn't have anything. Some people react to bed bug bites and some people don't. I observed many cases where a husband and wife slept in the same bed, and one person kept getting bites while the other person never felt anything. Obviously, they were both getting bit, but one of them wasn't reacting to the bites. I recommend you get a pest control operator out there ASAP to do a free inspection for you. Without a photo, I can only guess, but my guess might be pretty good because I'm an entomologist. I think you may have an infestation of bed bugs and that because their bite isn't painful you think they don't bite. Don't you wake up in the morning with red bumps? Bed bugs have become resistant to many insecticides. I'd suggest sprinkling around a lot of diatomaceous earth and boric acid powder. Both substances are harmless to humans but lethal to insects. Sprinkle them in all cracks on the couch, between cushions, between the botton sheet and the mattress, in spaces between parts of the bed frame, and just about everywhere you can think of. It may take a while to get rid of them. If you have an old mattress, this would be the time to replace it with a new one.
