    Most people I know do a pre-law track in college ... majoring in Political Science, International Studies (these are the most popular two majors), or another major like English or even Biology. Keep in mind, when you are on the pre-law track you will be required to take hours in some Political Science. Then senior year of college, she will take the LSAT test .... a national mandated test that helps admit you to law school. Once you are in law you school - you begin specializing. Of course, each college might differ, but what I wrote above is the gist. If she has an idea of where she'd like to go to college (even if she changes her mind later) you could both research the pre-law program at that school. Might be helpful.
