Is it even worth it taking AP classes senior year?

I am a junior right now, and the only AP class I am taking this year is AP English Literature (I have an A in the class, and do expect to score a 3 or higher on the exam). My question ...show more

Answer:
If you want your life to be a living hell, I would recommend it. However, I'm hoping you realize how bad senioritis is. (I'm experiencing this right now). Do not, I repeat, do NOT (if you want to enjoy your senior year) take AP science or math classes. I do recommend AP Psych because it's actually interesting and you learn things useful to everyday life. I'm an AP student and it's hard enough for me to even go to school anymore haha. Trust me, it's not worth the suffering.

Yes, you should and I'll tell you why. I'm a senior this year taking 3 AP classes and am doing just fine. Colleges WILL see you GRADES (semester) from your AP classes, and that wil be a signal that you are truly ready for college level work. (assuming you'll do well). And that can push you from being deferred/rejected to accepted into your dream college! that happend to me :) and you will gain college credit as well if you do well. One suggestion would be to limit the amount of ap classes to 3 max. APsych is easy, but bio is a KILLER. so is chem and calc. States are pretty easy as well. Good luck!

You should take as many now as you can. Even if you've already signed up college courses most schools will let you audit applicable courses if your AP exams go well. I have friends you entered college with as many as 24 credits already out of the way due to working hard in their APs from high school.

I was thinking the same thing but it is worth it, because although they won't see it, once the scores come out, you can get college credit for it atyour university. Also, it helps your gpa, because i think it adds a 1.0 to each AP like if youre doing a 2.0 work, it like getting a 3.0 (when its weighted.)

So, your point is that classes are only worth as much as they are on an application. Silly.
