  • Answer:

According to Texas State University's very informative web pages, you fulfill the minimum transfer requirements if you have a 2.25 GPA with 30+ transferable hours. http://www.admissions.txstate.edu/future/transfer/getting-accepted-30plus.html Texas State is a great school. Work hard and you'll do well. Good Luck.

Texas State is perfect for non-traditional students like yourself. In fact, there is an organization (called the NTSO or "Non-Traditional Students Organization" that caters for just such a demographic. I should know, because I too was a non-traditional student while at Texas State. Check it out: http://www.lbjsc.txstate.edu/ntso/ Very best of luck. In fact, go visit a counselor, tell them your story. Might help.
