You would need to do Computer Science. Additionally, you would need to be practising the skills required, such as being logical, being mathematical and challenging yourself. If you are dedicated, you will be well on your way. As far as I know, you won't be needing commerce if you want to work for a company, we're focusing on "game design". You have to make up your mind, would you want to be the person creating the product, or selling it? If selling, yes, you would need commerce, but if designing, why worry about it? Although it is your choice, I cannot define your future career, it is all up to you which area you want to get qualified.

At my university... You would need a computer game design degree. It's a ton more work than most people realize, and makes you take the most difficult math classes.
