A reasonably cheap car stereo that can connect with an ipod?

How can I connect my iPod to my car Stereo without a USB port?

  • I have a car Stereo that has a CD player but is there anyway or anything I can get to connect my iPod to it?

  • Answer:

This is what I used before switching to aftermarket deck with USB, it works great on the expensive side but I never had any problem with static or anything. My brother also had this same one in his Jeep with no problem. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_142FMMOD02/Scosche-FM-MOD02.html?tp=121

Don't buy an FM Transmitter, they aren't good because you still get static interference. You can connect an iPod to a Car Stereo with an Aux In Connection. It's like a hole the same size as the one you connect your headphones to on your ipod. You'll just need a male to male 3mm jack cable, like this: http://www.proporta.com/F03/i/stereo_link_cable.jpg

yes.. they make several ipod transmitter that plug in to the cigarette lighter and to the ipod. Then you tune the radio to like 88.9 and you can hear what is playing on your ipod . cost is from $12.00 to $25.00 depending on which one you buy. You can buy them at just about any store that sales ipods and other consumer electronics.
