the sets of subs would be the same.

Answer:
Want to know, that would be the same if all the bass levels and such were the same. Think, its either 2/4 or 2/2. Either way its 2. Make sense? 4 Halfs make 2 and 2 fulls, well thats 2.

It would be exactly the same. By doubling power, you gain 3dB's. By doubling woofers, you gain 3dB's. SO, you would be halving power but doubling woofers. This would be a draw. Metalman, what were you thinking?

if you are running 500 rms to 2 subs... or 500 to 4 subs... the 4 subs will win... much more air moving... your amp will work harder tho...
