    That is correct - first DNA is transcribed into RNA, then RNA is translated in protein. That video is good and shows you the basic steps and mechanisms involved. Make sure you have the sound turned up - the narration is essential. The video also shows codons - a codon is a 3 nucleic acid pair on an mRNA that bind to a particular tRNA molecule. This is shown in the movie - notice that, after the mRNA bind the small ribosomal subunit, the tRNA comes in and binds 3 of its nucleic acids to 3 nucleic acid codon on the mRNA.

Protein synthesis consists of both steps—transcription and translation. During Transcription, a complementary copy of the DNA is made in the form of an mRNA (i.e., MRNA is made up of anticodons). And then during Translation, tRNA binds to the mRNA and translates it into proteins.
