How many people create yahoo account?

If I delete my yahoo mail account can other people create a new account using the same username?

Been there and done that! I asked a friend to try and set up an account several years after I shut my old one down. They specifically requested my I.D. They couldn't open an account under that name as yahoo said that, that particular I.D. was taken. I have tried to access old accounts that I use to have from different computers and they are not accessible. Of course some opportunist hacker working for yahoo might decide to do that in the future, but it is highly unlikely and very unethical. Now, if you are a world leader, a billionaire, a general or some high profile celebrity almost anything is possible, but if you are like the rest of us 'yahoos' and not high profile then the answer is 'NOPE!'

No way-that is permenently yours whether you use it or not.
