I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but it sounds like a question for mydlink. I think the smtp: part is like http: , it only specifies the protocol. So the mail server name is mail.yahoo.com only , or possibly email.yahoo.com. But also, yahoo might not support this on free email, because they want you to log in to web mail, and see the ads, which support the mail business. Google mail should work, if you have a gmail account.
