im trying to set up my default email to yahoo and it says i need there server type for the outgoing and incoming.either pop3 or imap or something
-
Answer:
Settings for Yahoo are Type of account pop3 Incoming server pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk or pop.mail.yahoo.com Incoming port (pop3) 995, Outgoing server smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk or smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk Outgoing port (smtp) 465. Don’t forget to enable POP Forwarding in Options/Mail Options when you are logged into your account on the web under IE or Firefox. Outlook will not be able to work with your account unless you do this. You DONT have to have a paid account to access Yahoo from within a program such as Outlook etc, I have and still use a free account within currently Windows Mail, just don’t forget to enable POP Forwarding within Options/Mail options when in your account on the web (in IE or Firefox).
