You can't change it but you can make it familiar and cut out the annoying extras. (1) Go to settings (cogwheel in right hand corner) (2) choose viewing email (3) unselect enable conversations/show snippets (4) adjust font to medium if it's too small (4) Save. Now the double scrolling box, the one-line snippets and the conversation arrow will disappear and it simplifies the view of your inbox. It's also riddled with bugs!

Yahoo has discontinued Yahoo Classic. As the article below says once the switch to the new version has taken place you can't go back to the previous version. The article also contain a link to an overview of the new email. Can I switch to the previous design of Yahoo! Fixing common problems in Yahoo! Mail - http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en_US&y=PROD_MAIL_ML&page=content&id=SLN3223 I'm running the new full version of Yahoo mail on an 8 year old laptop running Windows XP SP 3 with 2 gig of memory. The tips in the article above were most helpful. I also needed to make sure I'd downloaded all the latest Windows updates and I did have to install the latest versions of Java and Adobe Flash Player. I had to abandon IE8 because it's the latest version that Windows XP will support and the perfromance with Yahoo Mail was very poor. I installed the latest version of Firefox, Chrome, and Safari for Windows to see which one works best on my laptop. After these changes Yahoo Mail runs almost as fast as Yahoo Classic and I've had no issues yet. If the new full-featured version of Yahoo mail isn't for you, you should check out Yahoo Basic. Your email is displayed in page view (25 emails per page) and you have the standard First page, Next page, Previous page, and Last page controls. If you don't like that one there are a dozen more listed in the article below that you can try. You're bound to like one more than you like the new Yahoo mail.
