How we can deploy a page, created in Visual Studio 2010, for a SharePoint 2010 site?
-
I have created a application page in Visual studio. But page is not getting displayed in sharepoint site. I tried to navigate to url manually still facing issue. I checked correlation Id, I found sharepoint was throwing page not found error.

Answer:
How exactly are you deploying the page? Adding it directly to the hive, using a SharePoint feature to deploy it, adding it to a mapped folder, or something else? It sounds like the page isn't actually being added to SharePoint. If you use one of the listed methods to deploy the page, it should then be found.

I am assuming here that "the page" you are referring to will be following a page layout. And you can deploy that page-layout using PowerShell command or stsadm command.
