Can you tell about coastal plains in the US?

Can anyone tell me about redbank plains in QLd?

    Redbank Plains is a terrible place to live. It's dry and hot in summer and freezing cold in winter. Redbank used to be a small town with 3 pubs and 30 houses. They opened up land for sale (called Redbank Plains), built copy-cat houses and a shopping centre hoping to reinvent the area. To the developers' credit, it's much nicer than it was years ago, but it still bears the stigma of being a low socio-economic area and the crime rate is on the higher end of the scale.

it is growing fast there small shopping center there & 2 big ones within 10 min drive it has schools parks pub on a kind of back road so not a lot of traffic most of the time EXCEPT when ipswich moter way is blocked due to accedents(at least twice a day) goodna is just up the road(3km)& is not a very good suburb(1 of the last places i would live)
