I'm an Australian living in NZ my 3 children have nz passports - how do I get them australian passports?

Apply for Australian "Citizenship by descent" for your children. Once you pay the fee, fill the forms out and they mail you out the certificate, then you can apply for Australian passports - you may have to go in person to Wellington or Auckland though as that is where the Australian High Commission are located.
