    Dartmoor would be secluded but no forests or lakes and would be very very windy and cold....i dont think there is anywhere like what you want in england...there is deserted cause it is uninhabitable or there is nice forest and lakes and lots of people...i think you will have to choose if you want rural and small towns and villages go to devon and cornwall though

Then why did you say UK? ( the UK is England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland altogether ) Say England, if you just mean England, Sorry i only know of the Lake District, New Forest, and parts of Northumberland, it would be very cold though this time of year, rather you than me,
