What beaches are there in london?

London is on a River Not the Ocean so no 'beach' as it is IN Land try Brighton or look at the coastline on a Map

Isnt the water too cold in England? and all the beaches are rocky

Clacton, Southend, Margate, Hastings, Eastbourne, Brighton, littlehampton, Bognor are all a hours and a bit on the train from central London

When I lived in London, I was shocked by the way they all lie about beaches. Brighton is not a beach in my meaning of the word. To me a beach is sandy. Brighton beach is nasty hard little (and big) stones. I know that the OED says that it is a beach but it's a pebbly beach , not a sandy one. The nearest real beaches are down on the coast to the east of Rye, in Kent. p.s. To me a beach is at a sandy place where the sea water is safe to drink. Not too much to ask.

Brighton! Seriously love that place. :) And they have a really cool shopping center. :) ______________________________________... Yes brigthon is rocky but it's really fun. i not then come on over to california. most likley won't find one in london or near london with "fresh drinking water". first of all no beach has fresh water. everyone knows that (person below me).
