Our boss takes us on a cruise every year - it started out small and has continued to get bigger. Last year was a week in the caribbean. We were in the same boat as you, so we got some other couples from work together to buy the boss a bigger thank you. Our boss is a woman, so one year, we paid for her to get some spa treatments during a day at sea. Another year, we just got a ton of "beach stuff" together and gave it to her before we left. Easy way to handle this is to go to the cruise line web site or call the cruise line well in advance tell them you need to send a gift to someone on the cruise they have a great selection of gifts they will receive on the cruise as low as 30-40 bucks.
