When did cruise ships stop having different classes?

What is the maximum time that cruise ships usually stop over?

  • Answer:

It depends on where you are going. We took a 7 night cruise to Bermuda - and we were docked there for the whole cruise. Most 7 night cruises to the Caribbean have 4-5 stops, one night each. Longer cruises, 14 nights - may have 24 hours stops at each port. It really depends on the cruise line and where you are headed to.

Well, usually a ship will stop at a port for 1 day not a full day though usually 7-8 a.m. dock and leaves port around 7-9 p.m. I just went on a 12 day cruise through the Mediterranean and the longest we stayed at a port was 2 days and we stopped at 7 ports. I would think a 14 day cruise would stay at least 2 days at 1 port as well with 7-9 ports.
