What is the best Cruise line for an Alaska Cruise-tour vacation?

  We sailed on the Sapphire down into Mexico. (It splits between Alaska and Mexican destinations) The food is great. We don't like to do the formal dining, so we eat at the buffet, which has some great food (and most of it is the same as what is served in the dining room). It is family friendly for older kids (5 and up). Teens should have no problems, in fact they have their own area on the ship for dancing and hanging out. I doubt you will get seasick, unless the weather becomes horrible. The entertainment is (ahem!) awful! But the Liberace act is not to be missed!! You will laugh, laugh, laugh, and the sets are great! And of course there are art auctions, gambling, etc. Bring a book or two, just in case. The internet Cafe was about $40 for me for about 30 minutes. Dress warmly. Even in summer, Alaska is about 50 degrees. Colder when the wind blows.
