  Hi, i cruise quite often, i think the following is what you should pack & is what i pack. Necessities; -Clothes (You can wash them in the wash room which on most ships is on each level!) -Tennis shoes & flip flops -tolietries. (tampons, razors, shampoo, etc...) -passports -Light jacket will be needed at times. -adleast 500 dollars cash (for excursions and on island. Amount depends on how many days. we go on 7 day cruises and usually bring about $2000.) Optional but sugested; -Ipod (for when your at the pool) -Camera (extra batteries! They are expensive to buy at the stores on the ship!) As for your clothing, we always pack & find use for the following; -Shirts -Shorts -Skirts or dress pants (for casual night in dining room!) -Dress or nice dressy clothes (for formal night in dinning room!) -Tennis shoes (for the island excursions & for the track on ship or exercizing in spa) -Socks -light jacket/sweater (it's Chilllly on cruise ships, at ALL times!) Please bear in mind that most ships have desinated laundry mats on each floor of the ship! It can get expensive though, some ships charge per the item or per the load. If i remember correctly carnival charges like $5.00 or something per a load. I've cruised out of Port Canaveral and i'm going to cruise out of there a second time in only 11 days! But yes, parking is only like probally 100 feet away from the building where you get on. So, yes, it's like right up close. If you purchase a soda card you won't need any money for soda unless you want alcohol. Alcohol on the ships is very overpriced so i usually stick with bringing my own. If i recall you can bring one bottle of wine. What we do is pack like five-six water bottles in our suitcases we then fill the bottles with vodka because its clear and looks like water. I have found that buying shore excursions through Carnival are more expensive. I suggest that you just go to the beach, snorkle and shop. Nassau isnt one of my favorite islands so all we did is go to the snorkle at the beach & visit the Atlantis Hotel. It's a fabulous hotel but don't spend your money on going there. They won't let you get on the water slides unless you pay the 100+ dollars per a person. All you do is visit the not sp big aqaurium and stuff. Just visit the beach and shop. Bargain with the people.... They always take bargains! I bought a coach purse there which was prices $70.00 and i got it for i believe $53.00! Have a wonderful cruise, Alexis Cox.
