    from what i have heard, hours are very very long when you work on cruiseships, pay is low (for american's expectations, that is ) and you have to sign a 6 month or more contract. You are away from your home, work 6 to 7 days a week, split shifts. also for youth counselors, they prefer someone who has a bachelors degree in childhood development, or education/and someone with experience. all that said, i would still contact the cruiseline, and find out more. good luck to you, i would contact disneycruise.disney.go.com cruisecritic.com
