    You have to be at least 21, and have at least 2 years experience in the job you're applying for. They have no interest in training inexperienced people. And very few Americans are willing to work the long hours for low wages... so they don't hire many, as they don't want someone bailing out a few weeks into their contract. The few Americans I've seen on a cruise ship were on the Entertainment staff, not in the Housekeeping/Restaurant end of things.

Most cruise lines require you to be 21. Disney is en exeption. It does not work the way that you do whatever work - you need to have relevant work experience for the job you are applying for.
