Tell them that it's amusic festival,with carnival rides and music. There is TONS of security, every year getting stricter and stricter. In fact,this year the age requirements are 16 yrs.+ only. The Previous years were all ages. Also, the event will no longer end at 4:00 A.M, instead at 2:00 A.M. Since there is security, it is generally a safe environment, and they try to do the best to keep it safe.
