  • Answer:

No. You would be working for 10-12 hours/day, for 7 days a week for anywhere between 4 to 10 months straight. As a crew member you have the crew areas - you are not allowed in passenger areas, unless you are working. You could go ashore, when you are off duty - which would be a couple of hours/day. So no, you are there to work, not to cruise and you could not enjoy a cruise like a passenger in between the time you are working

Probably not. The employees on a cruise line work hard. At least 10-12 hours a day. When we were on our cruise, our assistant waiter was also a bar tender, and he had a few other jobs, including carrying baggage on and off of the ship. You will most likely have to work hard on most of your cruise. Some times employees get a bit of a day off to explore the island, but they hardly get any time off. Crew cabins are also very small.

First of all, you won't have much "time of". Staff works long, long hours. Second, you won't be allowed to hang out in passenger areas, so you'd be confined to crew's quarters/areas. You would be able to go ashore once in a while, however.

Yeah I guess. But working on a cruise ship is really hard work. You don't get day's off only time off and you'll be working everyday. And the only time you can take time off work is if someone in your family has died or if you get special permission to take a vacation at the next destination, which only happens for those that have been with the company for awhile. But apart from all that, it's REALLY good money. :D

Of course it is possible!

No because (#1) You will always be working because somebody on the boat will have a problem (#2) You will soon get tired of the ship
