They can't. Cruise ships aren't willing to take on temporary unskilled labor. You must be * at least 18 years old * at least 2 years professional experience in the position you're applying for * willing to sign a 6- to 12-month contract, depending on the cruise line (which rules out "summer job" even if you were 21 with the requisite experience)
