  Why are you interested in this anyway? Kunai weren't stored on a person in some fantasy leg-holster apparatus anyhow. They weren't intended to be projectile weapons....they were gardening tools. Farmers would tuck them into an obi just like any other short object (like a tanto for example). Kunai are functionally used as hand-held truncheons, along the same idea as a jutte. Sure, the end was sharpened a bit, but they're not meant to penetrate flesh like a thrown shuriken would be. I'm really curious as to where you got this idea, because I've never once seen a Bujinkan instructor teaching some silly naruto-esque crap with kunai, I've only ever seen them used as they're intended. They're a flat spade shaped piece of steel. They're meant to break bones, aid as a striking tool, or work as a functional lever for throwing...that's it. Can you throw one? Sure, but it wouldn't be the best choice. Anyhow, good luck on your search.
