How do they arrange the adds inbetween the footy?

    They probably line up one or two adds, and push the play button whenever a goal is kicked.

have ads to play automatically as soon as theres a goal good question never really thought of it that much

I am not totally sure but I think they arrange something with the sponsors of the AFL and the AFL teams to have the ads in between goals.

Football is a very regulated game. Each team has X number of time outs, and they use them all. There are 4 quarters in which to place adds of a specific time length, and a post game conclusion, in which other adds can run. While you never can tell what's going to happen for sure during a game, you can bet that a 1 hour game will take 2 hours to play on TV. The only time it goes overtime, is if it is a tie score, and then guess what? They get to replay an extra commercial and make extra money.
