I'd say turn up to training, tell them your deal and let them decide where to play you. They will watch you at training and decide what position your skills and abilities best suit.

The main differences will be in the tackle. When tackled in league, hold onto the ball until called to play it. Similarly when tackling, unless it is one on one, you cannot take the ball off him. Obviously no rucking, leaguies do not like this part of the sport.
