How can i get involved in UNiCEF ?

  Why them? I can't suggest that you get involved with a program that pays out so much of their money in CEO salaries. Nor will they accept anything but a check from a 15 year old. If you want to really help, why not KIVA.org? Anyone can do it.....it's a 'microloan'. You pick the family and situation. You choose how much to give. They start a business using your funds or use your money for equipment. Then they pay you back over time--with interest. Then, you can reinvest your money in someone else in need. If you think about it, it makes complete sense....as the ultimate goal of charity is not to make poor people dependent upon us for life, but to provide them with the resources to get out of their situation, so that they can stand on their own unassisted. UNICEF will provide food, but they will never provide job opportunities or start up money for a business. Which is why 100 years from now, UNICEF will still be asking for charity, as they perpetuate poverty, instead of striving for a legitimate hand up.
