Assuming you're British, you won't need a visa to live in Germany because both countries are in the EU. There are plenty of ways to move to another country (I've lived in both France and Spain and I'm only 22). One way is to get a job or internship. As an English speaker you might find teaching English a good way of getting into the country, although in Germany it's slightly harder given the high quality of English education in their school systems. Working for the British Embassy (or any British Mission in Germany) would be very difficult, as it's highly competitive and often requires a degree. Studying in Germany is cheap, and many degrees are done through the English language. Most of those degrees would have an international element, something like international law/politics/economics, or would be scientific. However, most are masters done after the bachelors degree, not bachelor degrees, although there are some out there, including combined undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. See here for a list http://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/07535.en.html For internships, look for British or German international companies (Audi for example) and see if they have internships. Some might be in two countries, such as UK then Germany. There are also organisations which organise internships abroad, but you usually have to pay a lot of money for the privilege.

The best jobs going are for the N.S.S (Naafi Support Staff). I used to work for them. A grand and a half tax free per month, no rent, gas or electricity bills, just N.I. contributions. But that's for people with absolutely no qualifications. My friend went there and is a manager now of a Naafi near Celle.

Hey, I am German (and am actually planning to move to England next year). Within the EU you won't need any visa. I definitely recommend you to do an apprenticeship or study at university (which you should be able to do in Germany aswell). In Germany you hardly get a job without a finished apprenticeship or if you haven't graduated from university. If you want to work at McDonald's or Burger King though, you won't need that. We have lots of big companies here that offer thousand of apprenticeship places and you should be able to find something. If you have any other questions, feel free to get in touch.
