Whats your monthly electric bill for an individual?

Whats cheaper prepayment electric meters or quarterly bill meters?

  • i dont understand kwh or units havent a clue, i used £2 per day on prepayment meter now i just had a quarterly bill meter fitted, which is cheapest or was this a good move to make

    Hi Just to let you know my personal idea and that is Quarterly meters are cheaper because it removes the charge for admin that is attached to pre payment meters. You pay for what you use as on pre payment you pay for what you use but with an admin charge and that may only be pence but it mounts up. Yes a good choice as long as you pay by the reminder and don't leave the bill and forget it. Regards Paul Kurt

Prepayment electric meters are the most expensive by a long way. Electric companies typically use them when they do not trust a customers ability to pay, i.e. low credit rating. Switch to a billing plan if you can, if you can't, blame those credit cards and loans you should have paid off. Good luck.

Quarterly bill meters are cheapest and if you can pay by direct debit it'll cost you even less.
