There is a product line called L.O.C (Liquid Organic Cleaner). It's 100% biodegradable and it's concentrated, so there is less packaging in the long run. You can order it at www.jewel.mychoices.biz

I have lots of info that I think you will find quite helpful and enlightening: http://ecowellness.multiply.com/ for excellent inspirational info within my blog to help not only our world and its creatures, but to also open peoples hearts and minds to many amazing wonders that life has to offer. I also have lots of info in my blog to help fuel peoples imaginations to many possibilities that can be found only in the minds eye. Along with lots of environmental info, amazing environmental pictures and videos (These videos show the beauty of this world and what life can be like if people take the time to appreciate life’s true beauty). Let us all strive for a greener/brighter future by helping to create a solid foundation for future generations to build upon, so we can hand them a beautiful world, filled with never ending awe and wonders!! Where peoples differences and uniqueness are accepted, where we all live as one, helping one another so that we can all play our own mysteriously beautiful melodies in the never ending, awe inspiring, song of life :-) I truly have faith in humanity and believe that someday our lives and the world in which we live will truly be transformed for the better.

...to add on to Planetpal's answer: put it this way, if you're not in a room at your house, then there's little to no reason to leave the lights on in that room. Also, install dimmer switches all over the house to effectively use less wattage in the evening (you'll see your electic bill drop too!). Avoid using hallogen lamps - those are huge energy suckers! The key is to produce less heat emissions as possible by reducing your electrical consumtions. For instance, fans tend to use less energy than airconditioners. Recycle, recycle, recycle! Try buying products that use as little plastic packaging as possible (cardboard and paper are easier to recycle). Use tupperware instead of aluminum foil or saranwrap where possible. If you can buy locally grown/raised groceries, that too helps - the less food has to travel to get to you, the less energy was involved and the more you encourage local businesses. When going to the market, bring a couple canvas bags instead of using the store's paper or plastic bags. If you live in a dry climate (i.e., Southern California, the Southwest, etc.), then avoid planting huge swaths of lawn around your house that require daily watering to survive in the hot months - being "green" doesn't always mean looking green. Consider xerascaping your yard with hardy, drought-tolerant native plants or succulents. Look for trees that will provide your house/yard with cooling shade effects and that don't need tons of water either. Install an efficient drip-irrigation system in your gardens to avoid excessively watering areas that don't need it (like the sidewalk or driveway). Minimize watering by setting timers - more than an hour of watering a typical yard is overdoing it, even for grass.

This is a loaded question! You can start by being green to and from work by car pooling, taking public transprtation, biking Then of course Reduce- Use less of everything if you can ---use less water---that kind of thing--shop conciously buy in bulk, buy things in less packaging, etc Reuse-Recycle. Give things a second life Lastly think about energy consumption and emissions. Use less lights--more efficient bulbs--shut off computers when not in use-- Of course one of the best things you can do is PRECYCLE.... Check out this info on PRECYCLING http://www.planetpals.com/precycle And a load of ideas here on every category: http://www.planetpals.com/earthmatters.html http://www.planetpals.com/worldlywise.html All in all start looking at how much you use... Make some small changes in your lifestyle--every litter bit counsts!
