Is it any wonder that the surface temperature record used by NASA/NOAA is corrupted?

As other people have pointed out you get the SAME answers if you only use the Anthony Watts approved surface stations. It's always good to have longer term, more consistent measurements, but that's not always possible. You and Watts would like to dismiss any data that you think shows that the Earth is warming, but the reality is that it has been. CO2 from the abuse of fossil fuels can cause more than 'warmer' temps. http://www.scienceprogress.org/2008/06/our-dying-oceans/ In fact, 'warmer' surface temps are not a clear sign of climate change. There are many more 'reliable' methods of gathering data than just 'backyard' thermometers.
