Whatever it is, it is a hoax. I am more scared of Obama.

Y2k was ridiculous. How could a computer breakdown really mean anything, let alone even happen?. Global warmiong is for real. 2012 will just spare us the trouble of seeing it to fruition
At least it becomes easier to understand why so many people are afraid of the 2012 doomsday hoax. Y2K was real. Thousands of companies spent billions of dollars to avoid bad things happening. Did bad things happen? No. Why not? Was it all just a hoax? NO, THEY SPENT BILLIONS OF DOLLARS SO NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN! Global warming is real. Read a book. Tune away from Rush Limbaugh. He isn't an expert in anything other than cheeseburgers and underage prostitution in the Dominican Republic.

Global warming has been unequivocally revealed as a hoax. (http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=116882) But in my view that's not at all true of Y2K. I personally know of huge amounts of computer program changes implemented in various companies. Had these programs not been remediated chaos would have been inevitable. Across the whole country (and, presumably, around the world) hundreds of millions of dollars and millions of man-hours were spent "fixing" programs. Even with all this effort, many -- maybe even most -- of the companies still experienced major malfunctions in areas that had been overlooked. These glitches were kept quiet, but without this Herculean effort, total system malfunctions and outages would have been the rule. Answerer "Jim", who has bought the global warming hoax, asks "How could a computer breakdown mean anything, let alone even happen?" Recently a software failure kept most airline flights from taking off. Imagine what would happen if banks, the FAA's air traffic control systems, cable and network tv systems, brokerage houses and stock trading systems, manufacturing, newspapers, telephone networks, department stores and warehouse stores, pentagon and military systems, satellite control systems, gas and electric suppliers, not-for-profit companies, municipal government operations, virtually EVERYTHING, suddenly stopped working. That's how.
