How do I email others on this site?

How can I start a daily newsletter/email site?

  • I have the niche and I and others have almost finished writing around 2 weeks worth of content. but what is the best way to get email subscribers when I launch the site? I know that their is article marketing, blog comments, forum marketing, sharing on social media sites and paid methods such as PPC and Facebook ads. but what other good methods are there (preferably free)? is it better to go HTML (more eye catching but more likely to be considered spam)or just text (more personal and more boring)?   or should it not be daily at all?

    You should have both an HTML and a plain text version of the newsletter available for subscribers to choose from. An additional touch is for the HTML version to be viewable in a browser. Most email management platforms offer capabilities to deliver in both formats with a browser version. As to good and free methods for gaining subscribers, you mentioned social media. Search engine optimization should be a part of that as well. If the articles will live on your website and be circulated for reading/sharing via email, ensure that the articles and site are optimized and that you have your social media and SEO efforts working in tandem. Also, consider content sharing on sites like Pinterest. If needed or desired, you can supplement this with paid search and article marketing.

Using HTML is highly unlikely to make you look like spam. The vast majority of all emails sent today are HTML or in fact both HTML and Text (using MIME encoding) - normally taken care of by the email sending solution. Spam filter is decided by reputation. Well that's another topic so I'll leave that. The question of format comes down what will work best. Very often simple is good. Adding lots of graphical effect for no reader benefit doesn't help. Readers aren't looking for pretty, they are looking for good content that is very quick to consume and filter. The best way to get email subscribes is to attract people to your site using SEO/social etc., and then offer them to subscribe, ideally with an incentive to get them to do it. If your content is really good, them people will subscribe to get more content of the high standard.
