Wiping out too many species of animals can have devestating effects on the ecosystem. The ecosystem would collapse killing off vital predator, prey, or plant species. Think about this humans wiped out all the rabbit's predator, the rabbits overpopulate they are eating the plants, the supply of plants is low and now the rabbits and the other animals are starving. Koalas are a fragile species because they only feed on the leaves eucalypt tree. If the tree is to become extinct then the koala would too. The last thing is disease. Deadly disease such as the West Nile could spread if it were not the predators of mosquito. Killing off the vital predators of mosquito could lead to more mosquito which means more people becoming infected with the West Nile.
