find you a vocal coach and learn how to breath first...you can easily research breathing exercises on the internet or simply going to books a million to buy a book or just read it. 1. stretch your face (yawning, twisting mouth) and stretch your muscles...no stress on the body is good for vocals 2. drink room temperature water every time you think of it. Distilled is best because its pure. You do not want to become dehydrated. Your vocals are really the last part of the body that receives moisture. Do not eat before you sing, your body puts tons of Energy into the digestion process. 3. Do not sing as high as you can go it can possibly cause improper singing which causes injury. You want to sing comfortably. YOur voice will grow and expand if you practice everyday. You must learn technique first. There are different levels in your voice (head, medium, and chest voice). Do not abuse your voice with no knowledge of these levels and just singing. 4. Exercises:goog and gug-these open the throat up more for your air to hit the vocals properly. moom and mum, no, nay, naa are much more advanced requiring more air support. MOST IMPORTANTLY...MASTER BREATHING TECHNIQUES AND INVEST IN A VOCAL COACH. you can find them anywhere( schools, churches, studios) good luck and I hope that helps.

Start with a few minutes of humming at a very comfortable pitch. Aaaah, Eeeehs and Oooohs ascending and descending in the major scale (eg do re mi fa so fa mi re do) 'Lawnmower sounds' are great. Start at a ridiculously low gurgly "aaah" and then slowly ascend as high as you can comfortably go, then roll back down. This audibly sounds dreadful to anyone in earshot, but it's a great stretch. You should be able to ascend higher and higher each time, until you reach the top of your range. Over time this will help to improve range. Then "Meow". But over emphasise the Mmm--eeee--ooowww. It'll carry you through Mm, ee, aa, oo, uu. This will stretch your face and tongue which is very important. (Best not to let anyone see you doing this though.

I have posted this for a few other people with that same question and I think these tips will be beneficial to you as well! Some things to try: Sing everday Do lots of vocal exercises and go as high as you can go Take deep breaths from your stomach, not just your lungs (this feels like you are tightening your abs) Do not tilt your head backwards or forwards when trying to get notes out because this puts a strain on your vocal chords Open your mouth really wide and keep your tongue towards the bottom of your mouth (gives you better control and a more mature sound, act like you are holding a ping pong ball in your mouth and you cant let it fall out) Raise your eyebrows (crazy as it sounds, this helps you stay on pitch and in tune) Get a voice teacher! You can never go wrong there! Good Luck! :) Answer my singing question? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgNOUkewMvdr7IJAUNgBn1QazKIX;_ylv=3?qid=20081203130517AA0GDLp
