When is the exact time yom kippur ends and i can start eating?

well sundown is when it gets dark...sorry about being sarcastic. depending on where you are, it can vary. where i live the sun now goes down at about 7:30 8 pm. hope i helped please choose me for best answer! thank you!

Like Care said, it depends where you are. I'm sorry I didn't see this question sooner or I would have helped you out (you coulda went to chabad.org/calendar and it gives the the right time; just find the date and you'll get all the info you need). Anyhow, here in California the fast ended at 7:03 (or was it :13...?) In fact, I never even heard havdalla (separation between "holy" day and weekday")! I wonder if you really were supposed to, because we all started eating as soon as we finished Ne'ilah (final prayer of Yom Kippur). Anyways, I hope you had a nice fast!

Well it depends on where you live. For me (New York City) it is 6:53pm, but if you are in California, it will be different. Go by when it gets dark outside, or by when your nearest synagogue ends there evening services.

U can only eat when you hear havdallah. Usually they make it in the services/shul after maariv.

Make up your own time. I just got back from my post fast run to McDonalds. Man, I am so glad Yom Kippur is finally over. I cannot wait until Hanukkah. It's the only Jew holiday I liked growing up because it was the only one that my grandma gave me gifts instead of starving me and making me feel sorry for everything I had done in the year.

when the sun goes DOWN, thus the word sundown. derr dah derr. this usually happens around 8:00, give or take some time according to the season. haha i hate fasting. and its worse when ur 12 and you see all your friends eat at lunch time.

exactly midnight. my buddies jewish and i enjoy eating in front of him. he just says ima eat 3 pizzas at midnight
