How can I make my singing voice more powerful and cleaner?

My singing voice sounds airy, how can I make my voice sound smoother?

    oh my god! again Ron Q has anwered don't listen to that guy.... I i'm very into the soul rnb jazz stuff, also a bit indie an rock so I was always intresent in vocal runs... any way I'm bass and I sing very low (with patience) and way higher than basses... with extra patience... I worked my voice partially... with high discpline and eating a lot of protein... vocal cords are muscles you know!! I Encourage you to go the singing success programme ... I wouldn't change it for life... I hate when vocal teachers or people who had a degree say "you can't extend your range"... oh god!! in choir my teacher said those words and I knew i had something inside me .... I worked, i looked for everything singing success aproached... I insist... MAybe you'd like to buy some lessons with him.... I did the programmes on my own and it took longer than i expected, ( a year actually haha).. but still the rewards are amazing... Range and voice types are not together---

You pretty much just have to keep practicing. If you can't hit the high notes using your strong notes, don't. It sounds soooo much better if you sing in your range REALLY GOOD. Rather than singing not in your range and it's just OK.

try tightening your stomach muscles and aiming for a target of where you want your voice to go
