What do you stuff a Thanksgiving turkey with?

  • I just want to see all the things you guys stuff your turkeys with, My preferred stuffing would be some melted cheese! I love cheesey turkey!

    We don't stuff the turkey, we have dressing on the side. I'm not real wild about the idea of cooking anything inside the body cavity of a dead animal.

it sounds good, but I like to put some kind of stovetop brand stuffing. Unfortunately it has been known to interfere with cooking the turkey for Ecoli issues, so we stopped doing that.

I use a mix of ground beef, ground pork, almonds and raisins, cooked ahead, then put into the turkey. My family (Puerto Rican) make a mofongo stuffing, which I love, but can't find good plantains here in Buffalo :-(

I used a rather vegetarian stuff...Lots of pieces of vegetables and fruits, plus a couple tasty herbs..

I stuff mine with apples, pears, onions and honey. I use fresh herbs like rosemary and sage as well. My best friend used bell peppers, lemons, garlic. Then basted it with a mix of melted butter, Sauza tequila, and lemon juice. It sounds weird, but it was amazing! It was so tender and juicy! The meat taste nearly like a jalapeno popper.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, we have an east-meets-west stuffing. It's a bread stuffing with apple (west) and water chestnuts (east) in it.
