R&P: Whats your favorite song from a Broadway Musical (+ BQs)?

Very cool, Punch! I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for that one. I learned and sang a TON of show tunes all of my years in school. And there have been some after then that I've really loved too. That's cool Punch. I'll have a look. I actually just saw my first Broadway play last weekend and it was really awesome. I actually could see a really good movie coming out of it too. It was called Next to Normal. I only heard the tunes once in passing and didn't totally connect with any specific songs, the orchestration was very cool though. Some really great vocal harmonies and a pretty cool take on the soundtrack in general (it was a musical). Anyhoo, I don't necessarily have any favorites. I always have been fond of the song 1921 from Tommy, which falls right into that showtune mold.

'The Rum Tum Tugger' {played by the lovely John Partridge} 'Skimbleshanks : the Railway Cat' 'All That Jazz' {"Chicago"} 'Who Wants to Live Forever' {"We Will Rock You"} 'Somebody to Love' {"We Will Rock You"} 'A Kiss is a Terrible Thing to Waste' {"Whistle Down the Wind"} 'Tyre Tracks and Broken Hearts' {"Whistle Down the Wind"} The only ones of these I've seen are "CATS" and "We Will Rock You". Other musicals I love / like, but too many songs to pick :~ "Kiss Me Kate" {love Ann Miller!} ; '"Singing in the Rain" ; "Mary Poppins" ; "Joseph" ; "Oliver". Thanks to my mother, I grew-up on a selection of Andrew Lloyd Webber! BQ1 : Well, it looks interesting, and the songs sound interesting...

I love musicals! One of my favorites is "Hairspray" and I have several faves from that show "Good Morning Baltimore" "I Can Hear the Bells" "The Nicest Kids in Town" This one is my fave of those

Hi Punch, I'm not really a fan of musicals but I did enjoy those videos, perhaps because they're a bit rockier than what I usually associate with Broadway. Amsterdam sounds like a really catchy song though and maybe I'll check out the movie when it's released.

Okay here goes: I have TON of favourites! meh.....i mean i like Wicked, Cats, Spring Awakening, Mary Poppins, Fidler on the Roof, Jersey Boys, Chicago,Rent, Sweeney Todd,Hairspray, Mamma Mia, Grease,Phantom of the Opera oh gosh i could go on forever! I just can't pick one! But the one that i have seen recently is Spring Awakening which is Chicago and from Wicked Ba1: It sound pretty cool..i will look into it XD Have a Extraordinary Day!

Hi Punch! Not a great fan of musicals but I was in a production of 'Godspell' many years ago, so I'll pick 'Day By Day'. BQ1: Never heard of it before but I quite liked 'Amsterdam' BQ2: I felt something.......
