Why do you celebrate Thanksgiving?

Why do you celebrate Thanksgiving?

  • I'm not asking why we (as a nation) celebrate but why YOU as an individual celebrate it. If you answer by saying you don't celebrate it that's fine but please explain why.

  • Answer:

I'm Chinese and I don't really care for the traditions or origins of thansgivings, but we feast anyway because we want an excuse for the family to get together and stuff like that.

I celebrate Thanksgiving because it's my favorite holiday-- because I try to foster an attitude of gratitude all year. And Thanksgiving puts that attitude right up and reminds everyone of how important it is-- and it gives us all a chance to celebrate that attitude together.
